The HISD Health Services department has five registered nurses, two licensed vocational nurses and one medical assistant on staff to provide quality medical services to all students and staff on a daily basis. The educational background and expertise of each nurse is rich and diversified enabling them to provide quality health care at the campus level.

The school nurse has a multi-faceted role within the school setting, one that supports the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of each student and their success in the learning process.

Classes are held in the District Training Center located on the former Primary Campus.
